![]() This is an exhibition of linocuts, collagraphs, etchings, paintings and mixed media-illustraitive through to abstract and somewhat quirky. Inspired by the imagination and life's moments of wishful thinking. Aldgate Cafe 6 Strathalbyn Rd, Aldgate 17 February - 30 March 2017 Monday - Wednesday 4pm - 8.30pm Thursday - Sunday 11.30 - 9pm So it's been a few years since I last had a solo exhibition. Still something to do with that sea change / tree change part of my life I think? 2016 was a year of adjustments, making plans and taking action. Most exciting of all was taking a trip overseas and after spending a few weeks in New York and Canada, sightseeing and absorbing as much culture, art and architecture; I returned home with an enthusiasm to get my art back out into the world! Well back out into my local world at least... and how else but to do this than to take part in one of South Australia's biggest arts festivals... The Adelaide Fringe. With only days before the deadline I sat for hours on end filling in the paperwork and informing them of as much information I could think of for an exhibition that had barely been thought of only hours earlier. Somehow I did it and "Gifts of Fun & Love ' came into fruition. A title reflecting how I was feeling about current life. Over the next few months, I put together a body of work and painted a few new works which could be seen as being 'little parcels' I wanted to share the fun & love and hopefully the viewers will get that when they look at the work. Maybe even share them as gifts with their loved ones.
